About your day
The delight of an Exclusive Experience day at Kimbridge is having the use of Mill Cottage and the Farmhouse, along with just over seven miles of fishable bank on the river Test and river Dun. This is all situated within 400 acres of beautiful countryside in the heart of the Test Valley filled with natural beauty and wildlife to match.
Up to ten friends, family or work colleagues can enjoy a stress-free day on the famous River Test and a section of the River Dun. Along with excellent food during the day and guidance from the Head Keeper and Ghillie, this truly is a wonderful experience.
Breakfast
It is from the tranquil setting of Mill Cottage, that you will be served a hearty full English breakfast to prepare you for your day.
Going Fishing
After breakfast our own Head Keeper and Ghillie will assist you with the setting up of your rod and provide you with fly information and current fishing conditions which we hope will catch you that special fish. Any novices will be taken to the Casting Lakes for instruction, this is a perfect setting for total beginners or occasional fishers. All tackle and gear can be provided.
On leaving the cottage (armed with a map to ensure your safe return for lunch) you are free to wander the riverbanks to your hearts content, keeping to fishing etiquette of course.
Lunch and the afternoon
At 1.00pm you will make your way back to Mill Cottage for a sumptuous three course meal to be served at 1.30pm. A selection of drinks will also be waiting, most welcome on a hot day.
After lunch, and possibly a much-needed rest, the afternoon is yours to continue fishing, you may fish right up to dusk. During the hot summer days, fishing at dusk can be the best time of the day.
Tea, Rest & Relaxation
Then in the evening a buffet tea will be laid out in the Cottage from around 5pm. Whilst sitting in the garden looking across to the river,you can enjoy a cup of tea chatting to your fellow anglers about “the one that got away”.
It’s so relaxing and effortless. As you prepare to leave your fish will be cleaned and bagged for you, each guest can take six fish in total.
