About the Kimbridge Club

The Club at Kimbridge came into being in 2008. It was created to allow discerning fly-fishers the freedom to fish whenever they wished.

It also advocates that: “There is more to fishing than catching fish”

Membership is by invitation only and is limited so that members can enjoy the charms of the estate in relative solitude.

Prospective members will have the opportunity to meet the owner prior to membership being offered.

With seven miles of fishable bank on the River Test and River Dun, space is generally not an issue.

We have a section on the website, exclusively for members.

The Clubhouse

There is a clubhouse where members can meet and chat about matters piscatorial over a coffee, tea or lunch.  A sandwich or light lunch can be provided by separate arrangement from Kimbridge Barn.

Our experienced river keepers are on hand to offer advice and ghillie services if required. There are fishing huts on the riverbank and ample car parking at the Farmhouse and around the estate.

Kimbridge is predominantly an upstream dry fly fishery, upstream nymphs are permitted from 1st August.

There are few rules, rather the owner relies on good courteous behaviour and respect of other members.

The Trout season is 1st May until mid-October. There are three periods for statutory weed cutting, but members are allowed to fish during these times.

Grayling fishing is available from the end of the Trout season until the end of the year, by prior arrangement.

The Farmhouse

Accommodation is available in the Farmhouse by prior arrangement.

Situated in an idyllic position on the banks of the River Test, the Farmhouse at Kimbridge was originally built in the 1940’s for the former estate owner.

The current owner undertook extensive renovations in 2003, with seven double bedrooms each with their own en-suite bathroom. One of these bedrooms with an accompanying wet room is located on the ground floor.

Membership of Kimbridge Club

Kimbridge Club is a small, exclusive group of like-minded people. Club members can fish the river Test and the river Dun at Kimbridge on any day in the season. They are allowed eight guest days each season. They have sole use of the Club House and are able to book overnight stays in the Farmhouse, subject to availability.

Becoming a member is subject to an interview with the owner, where any questions you may have will be answered.
